Another successful event. We were honored with 240 Veterans and family members. We also had Natalie Healy as our guest speaker. She had a very emotional story to tell about her son Navy Seal Daniel Healy who died in Afghanistan in 2005 while onboard a helicopter and trying to rescue trapped sailors. We THANK YOU ALL for your Service.

The first Rotary Club in Derry, NH was chartered on September 13, 1970 as the Rotary Club of Derry.  From this club, the Derry Village Rotary Club and the Londonderry Rotary Club were later created. There are over 34,000 clubs worldwide in over 200 countries with over 1.2 million members.  Clubs are non-political and open to every race, culture, and creed.  On the local level, clubs try to focus on helping more in their community area.  Some of our local charities include the Greater Derry Boys & Girls Club, Make a Wish, No Place Like Home, The Upper Room, The Greater Derry Humane Society, The Rockingham Rail Trail, and CASA. We also partner with the Greater Derry Boys & Girls Club to put together Holiday Baskets during the Christmas season. In addition, we honor students at the Gilbert H. Hood Middle School and the West Running Brook Middle School with our "Students of the Month".  We are very proud to be members of this organization that touches local as well as global efforts.  In 2014, Rotary Club of Derry proudly sponsors an Interact Club based at Pinkerton Academy a local high school.
